It's coming! Daikin announces first R32 unit for Europe
[firstParagraph]
EUROPE: Daikin has announced that Europe will see its first air conditioning heat pump using the 'mildly flammable' refrigerant R32 as early as this autumn.
Following the announcement of the commercialisation of R32 as a replacement refrigerant for R410A in the Far East at the end of last year, the Japanese manufacturer has announced the launch of an updated Ururu Sarara range in Europe in autumn 2013.
According to Daikin, the award-winning Ururu Sarara offers very high energy efficiencies thanks to the use of R32, a lower GWP refrigerant .
The R32 Ururu Sarara is said to achieve a SEER of up to 9.54 (A+++) and a SCOP of up to 5.9 (A+++), which, according to Daikin, would make them the most energy efficient of their type on the market.
R32 has a GWP of 675, compared with R410A's GWP of 2,088, a reduction of 68%. R32 is also said to achieve higher efficiency levels both in part load and full load conditions. and As a single component refrigerant it does not suffer from any glide and is easy to recycle.
