IQ Refrigeration is the new RAC design and project consultancy launched by husband and wife team Jacquie and Bob Russell to offer end users and the trade sustainable cooling technologies.
Key staff include Sainsbury’s former men Nick Rivers as design director, and Roger Borer as non-executive director.
The company, based in East Grinstead, has also recruited former Denman man Richard Parr as design manager.
Heading up the business are managing director Jacquie Russell and Bob Russell, MD of sister company IQ Projects, the design, build and project management specialist.
Jacquie Russell said: “There is a huge opportunity for a company that can deliver practical, cost-effective environmentally sustainable solutions. End users are searching for the next generation of technology to future-proof their businesses against new legislation and escalating energy costs.
Bob Russell said: “We are delighted to have Nick and Roger on-board. Their experience in this field, from both a technical and business point of view, is second to none. With their knowledge and expertise, backed by the logistical and project management capabilities of the IQ group, we believe we have a winning formula that can deliver what the industry and end users are looking for.”
The company sees a major opportunity for the industry in relation to the impending phase-out of R22 refrigerant, given the large amount of R22-based plant still in use.
IQ Refrigeration is working on plant replacement with carbon dioxide-based systems.
