THE Institute of Refrigeration is presenting an evening paper on April 2 on 'Scroll compressors for carbon dioxide in refrigeration and heat pump applications'.
The paper covers the development of the scroll compressor for refrigeration low temperature sub-critical applications, transcritical applications for heat pumps and medium temperature refrigeration.
Beginning at 5.15pm at London's City Conference Centre, the speaker is Eric Winandy from Emerson Climate Technologies who will discuss performance of the scroll in these applications and a comparison versus reciprocating technology will be shown.
The presentation also goes into the advantages of scroll technology with vapour injection in the CO2 transcritical application.
Attendance is free for IOR members and guests.
