This accolade celebrates individuals who have built their careers in service, maintenance, or installation roles and continue to contribute actively to the industry. According to the IOR, the award “shines a spotlight on seasoned field-based technicians, who are the backbone of our field,” with the winner receiving a £400 prize, an engraved trophy, and an official certificate. The presentation will take place at the IOR’s Annual Dinner in London on 12 February 2026.
Nominations are welcomed from employers, clients, and colleagues who know of technicians with substantial experience at technician level. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a phone interview to reflect on their career and technical achievements.
