IOR announces winner of James Bond competition

John Thompson of Turner Ltd has won of the Institute of Refrigeration’s unique James Bond competition.

John Thompson of Turner Ltd.

Organised in the autumn of 2017 for apprentices and the undergraduates, the competition gave participants the chance to win an amazing framed collector poster of “Live and Let Die” signed by the late Sir Roger Moore.

Mr Thompson said: “Most people...assume it is highly unlikely that they would be the chosen winner and their entry gets forgotten about, but to my surprise I received a pleasant email from the IOR congratulating me that I had won this.”

Mr Thompson also commented on his relationship with the IOR and the numerous benefits of membership: “I was luckily chosen to compete in the Worldskills UK SkillFRIDGE last year and with that, every competitor was given an IOR membership subscription. This membership was a saint and became a regular point of reference that aided me throughout my third year at college.”
