Ineos Fluor establishes AHF plant in China

Refrigerant producer Ineos Fluor has established its first joint venture in China to produce feedstocks for its Far East fluorochemicals businesses.
The result of the agreement between Ineos Fluor and the Zhejiang Xing Teng Chemical Company is a new company - Jiangxi In-Tech Chemical - to be based in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. This new facility, which is expected to be operational by the end of this year, will produce anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF), a vital component in the production of fluorochemicals.
It will supply the raw material to Ineos Fluor's R134a plant in Mihara City, Japan, as well supplying its joint venture partner with raw materials for its own fluorochemicals business.
