THE Ineos group has completed the sale of its fluorochemicals business to latin american chemical producer Mexichem Fluor S.A. de C.V.
Mexichem Fluor S.A. de C.V is the subsidiary of Mexichem S.A.B. de C.V. which produces PVC pipes, resin, chloralkali, hydrofluoric acid and fluorspar.

The sale, which has been approved by the regulatory authorities, involves the international business and assets related to Ineos' fluorochemical operations located in North America, Europe and Asia.

Activities relating to fluorspar will remain with INEOS and will become a part of Ineos Enterprises business. This sale, previously reported in ACR News, is part of INEOS' plan to focus on its large-scale petrochemicals businesses.
