As part of the EU Farm to Fork strategy, ENOUGH provides technologies, tools, and methods to decarbonise the entire food value chain—from post-farm gate to consumer, including processing, storage, transport, retail, and domestic refrigeration. The project, coordinated by SINTEF Ocean (Norway), brings together 28 partners from 12 European countries, combining expertise from research, industry, and policy sectors.
Launched in October 2021, ENOUGH is structured into 11 work packages addressing technical (such as data, tools, and demonstrators) and non-technical (such as policies and consumer behaviour) aspects of reducing emissions. The project has established governance bodies such as an IP management group, ethics committee, and advisory council to ensure effective collaboration and impact. Several demonstrators have already been selected, and key deliverables have been submitted. For more information, please visit https://enough-emissions.eu/.
As a key ENOUGH project partner, the IIR is central in disseminating research findings and promoting best practices in sustainable refrigeration. For more information, please visit iifiir.org.
The ENOUGH factsheets are concise, one-page summaries of academic papers and research findings within the project’s scope. They provide accessible insights into cutting-edge scientific developments in refrigeration, energy efficiency, and emission reduction strategies. These factsheets are resources for industry professionals, policymakers, and researchers and are available here: ENOUGH Factsheets.
