Icelandic bank Kaupthing plans to buy Huurre Group

THE Finnish authorities have cleared the way for Icelandic bank Kaupthing to take overall control of refrigeration services company Huurre Group Oy.
If it goes ahead, Huurre, owner of UK contractor WR Refrigeration, will see its shareholding increase to over 90%.

Kaupthing has shared control of Huurre with the company's management since the buy-out from Norwegian investment company Bridgepoint Capital in 2003.
