UK: Efforts to save the Grimsby Ice Factory and the historic refrigeration it contains have been given a boost by its inclusion in next Wednesday's episode of Coast on BBC2.
According to the BBC website the episode will will show Nick Crane telling 'the chilling tale of an abandoned refrigeration plant whose workers kept Britain's biggest fishing fleet afloat.
'The Ice Factory closed its doors for the last time in 1990, but the last man to work there returns to bring the whole process back to life,' it says.
'We will be excited to see this episode, it will bring the story of Grimsby Ice Factory to a big national audience.' said Graeme Bassett, secretary of GGIFT, the group fighting to save the building.
Coast will be shown from 8pm on Wednesday April 10, and will then be available for a limited time on BBC i-player. More details at the link below:
