Hubbard makes new appointment and launches new range

Hubbard Products has stepped in to fill the void created by Eaton-Williams’ recent decision to halt the supply of its QUALITAIR range of R410A cellar systems.

Cellar Cooling specialist Ron Pamplin joined Hubbard on 3 August and will oversee the launch of a new range of ECA qualifying systems. These will replace Hubbard’s popular ‘LITE’ range of units. Ron was previously QUALITAIR product manager at Eaton-Williams and is well-known in the refrigeration wholesaling and distributorship sectors.

He said: “Following a restructuring of Eaton-Williams’ business in the UK it looked as if its popular cellar cooling range would be lost forever. Now, I am pleased to say that once again I will be offering the industry a cost-effective, high-efficiency cellar cooling system. It will only be available off-the-shelf through nominated wholesalers.

'Hubbard has a good reputation within the industry for well-designed and engineered equipment. The decision to review its lower end ‘Lite’ product, upgrading its effectiveness to include ECA certification at a competitive price point is cheering.”

The new range of units called LITEAIR, to reflect their heritage and position as an entry level ECA qualifying cooler, will be available from October this year.

Dougie Stoddart, commercial director of Hubbard Products said, “We are delighted to have Ron on our team. As a company, we are going through a period of significant development and the opportunity to improve our existing product with ECA certification, allied with Ron’s enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise made the decision to proceed an easy choice.

'The refrigeration and cellar cooling sector obviously has a need for coolers such as LITEAIR and the ability to buy them off-the-shelf makes this type of unit highly popular. Combined with our planned move to a new manufacturing facility and headquarters in the Ipswich area before 2016, makes this is an important time for our UK and European sales ambitions.”
