Mr Hayles began his career 30 years ago as a refrigeration apprentice after leaving Basford Hall College with a distinction in his Refrigeration City & Guilds course. Joining HTG in 1998, he progressed from field service engineer to national service manager before taking on his latest role with the company. His previous roles have given him an excellent understanding of customers’ expectations and requirements, along with a great knowledge of the industry as a whole. As HTG covers products from both Taylor UK and sister company Hubbard Systems, including prime cooking appliances, ice cream and frozen drink equipment, ice makers, commercial coffee machines, refrigerated displays and more, Mr Hayles’ experience is extremely deep.
He will be responsible for overseeing all the operations of the Service Division, ensuring that the expectations of HTG’s customers are both managed and met. He leads a nationwide team of field based service technicians who manage both preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, working with all customers from small independents up to global accounts.
“HTG has developed and improved significantly over the past few years,” Mr Hayles said. “Our challenge now is to build on these achievements and expand on the first class customer care our service division offers. We’ll be continuing to expand our service offering, with the aid of our engineers, call centre and technical team.”
“Dave’s experience and knowledge is second to none,” said Pete Gray, managing director of HTG Trading “He’s a team player and a natural leader, and with him overseeing it our already first class service team will reach new heights.”
