Hitachi factory in India back on line

INDIA: The Hitachi air conditioning factory in Gujarat, which was destroyed by fire in July last year, is back up and running.
The new £12m manufacturing plant is spread over 85,000m2 and has increased capacity to 600,000 units per year.

The factory will manufacture window and split air-conditioners, ductable air-conditioners, water cooled chillers, Set Free and Spacemaker ranges.

The original factory, built in 1999, was destroyed by fire on July 18.
