This year, the ACR News Awards will fall on the second night of The HVAC & Refrigeration show, offering a full day of networking with industry members. Attendees will be able to make the most of their day by exploring a range of the latest products, technology and solutions from market leading suppliers before heading to the awards ceremony for an evening of celebration. The ACR News Awards are the perfect opportunity to entertain key business contacts, reward valued staff and provide a fantastic night out in the company of some of the industry’s biggest names.

The 2018 ACR News Awards are set to take place on Wednesday 24th January in London. Organised by the publisher of ACR News Magazine, Datateam Business Media, the event is designed to celebrate innovation in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector, rewarding companies that demonstrate excellence in the way they operate or their products, and rewarding the individuals who make the industry great.

Hitachi is delighted to be sponsoring ‘Air Conditioning Ancillary Product of the Year’. UK-Ireland Managing Director, Gboyega Obafemi said: “Throughout its 100-year history, Hitachi’s vision has been to deliver innovative global solutions; now more than ever we are combining quality products with high standards of customer service and sophisticated IT across the Hitachi Group and Johnson Controls Inc., and serving our combined customers with the most diverse product portfolio in the air conditioning industry.

“Since Hitachi opened its first air conditioning factory in Shimizu in 1944, we have been market pioneers, achieving a number of air conditioning ‘World Firsts’ along the way. Hitachi still places quality engineering and innovation at the heart of everything we do so we are delighted to be involved in the ACR News Awards and are proud to sponsor the ‘Air Conditioning Ancillary Product of the Year’ category for 2018.

“We wish all this year’s entrants success in the awards and look forward to celebrating our industry’s continued innovation and excellence in January 2018,” he concluded.

For 2018, the ACR News Awards has four new categories in the line-up. There are two new voted categories, Commercial Contractor of the Year and Industrial Contractor of the Year, and two new judged categories, Instrumentation of the Year and Controller of the Year. Entries are now open and will close on 31st August 2017.
