Hendra has been involved with air conditioning and heat pumps since 1990. During this period, he worked for several major manufacturers, including Daikin and LG, in predominantly technical roles.
In 2010, he started a company from scratch distributing air-to-water heat pumps, and he wrote a book (videos and training) on Samsung air-to-water heat pump systems.
Hendra believes in ‘trying before you buy’; he has heated his 100-year-old house for the last 15 years with a series of seven heat pumps, trying out different brands, configurations, and setups to disprove many of the myths about this simple technology. He has published his experiments on LinkedIn and in his heat pump books on Amazon.
Hendra has spent the last 15 years moaning about how the technology needs solid technical and design support, and there is an urgent requirement to simplify the technology to make it more accessible to the heating industry. He’s finally put his money where his mouth is and has joined Haier’s development team to help make this dream a reality. He believes he can help make heat pumps better for the end user and the installer as he leads the development of the future Haier A2W range for Europe.
Chief executive of Haier HVAC Solutions Bob Cowlard said: “It’s great to have Graham on board; we have known each other from opposite sides of the business table for years, so it will be nice to work with him. It’s also great timing as he can dive straight in at ISH in Frankfurt, where we are exhibiting, to meet our European customers and understand their needs.”
