Help offered for new CIS scheme

WITH the new CIS deadline fast approaching, Estimation has announced a series of one-day training and education days during January and February to help contractors make the most of the new scheme.
'The transition to the new CIS scheme in April is likely to be challenging for every business, but once it's up and running it offers great opportunities to cut costs' says Estimation's md David Bell. 'We've been working closely with HM Revenue and Customs to ensure the latest versions of our software are fully compliant with the complex new legislation. Along the way we've learnt a great deal about the scheme and these training days will give us the opportunity to share that detailed information with contractors, whether they are customers or not,' he added.

As well as learning about the fine detail of the new CIS scheme, delegates will be shown how they can use software to streamline and simplify the important aspects of the scheme. These include tasks such as electronic pre-verification of sub-contractors, electronic submission of monthly returns, etc.

Estimation will be subsidising the costs of these events but are asking for a small contribution, of £45 per head, towards refreshments and venue costs. Anyone wishing to attend should first register their interest by visiting www.estimation.co.uk/support.php, e-mailing info@estimation.co.uk or calling 0121 704 3221.
