GSH Group wins three-year New York contract

GSH Group, the facilities and energy management company, has been awarded a three-year contract worth around $2.7 a year with the New York City Department of Correction.

Under the terms of the deal GSH will provide HVAC services at more than 16 department facilities. This includes all necessary repairs, replacements, new installations, diagnostic services and maintenance to central HVAC equipment and systems.

GSH will service the contract through its mobile engineering team, backed by the company’s in-house call centre 24/7 and its fully comprehensive computerised maintenance management system for work planning and labour tracking. Each engineer is equipped with handheld devices for electronic dispatch and receipt of work orders, cutting down on administrative paperwork and allowing more time in the field.

GSH group managing director, John Davy, said: “This is another fantastic milestone for GSH in the US where our business continues to flourish. This type of contract is perfect for the GSH mobile engineering solution, which we operate throughout the UK, Europe, the US and Asia for many customers offering a flexible, cost effective alternative to dedicated on-site teams.”
