Grimsby Ice Factory in three-part feature

A three-part history of the Grimsby Ice factory is being featured on the Cooling Post website.
The series includes records from local archives and from J&E Hall, the Dartford company that installed the refrigeration plant during the 1930s electrification upgrade. Photos and drawings are also being used.

The first part examined the history of the Ice Factory and its refrigeration systems. Part 2 will explore in more detail the workings of the 1930s J&E Hall equipment, much of which still remains within the building. Finally, Part 3 will delve further back to information that has been unearthed on the original steam powered refrigeration system that has long since been lost to history.
