The donated compressors, an HFO-compatible unit and a CO2 model, will be used to deliver hands-on instruction in compressor operation, servicing and system optimisation. Presented by Will Pribyl, General Manager at Green Point UK, the equipment enhances the academy’s capability to deliver real-world learning to engineers at all levels.
“These Bitzer compressors will help us demonstrate the fundamentals of compressor operation and maintenance,” said Ian Lemmon, Training Manager at Beijer Ref UK. “It’s a great example of industry collaboration to support technical development and raise standards across the sector.”
Beijer Ref UK opened its first academy in late 2021, serving as a training hub for sustainable HVACR technologies. The donation follows an earlier session hosted at Green Point UK’s Milton Keynes facility, where Beijer Ref engineers were introduced to Bitzer compressor technologies and remanufacturing processes.
“We’re helping to invest in people by giving engineers the opportunity to train with equipment that’s among the best on the market,” said Pribyl. “Bitzer compressors are known for their quality and performance.”
The initiative strengthens the long-standing ties between Bitzer and Beijer Ref, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing industry knowledge and professional development.
Green Point UK has also launched its own Bitzer compressor training programme and is now accepting registrations.
