AIR conditioning inspectors, manufacturers, designers and accreditation bodies are being invited to a workshop to learn about getting value for money from ac inspections.
The Harmonac project has been looking into how to get best value for money from air conditioning inspections based on feedback from inspections, field trials and case studies throughout Europe and as its team reach their conclusions, the project is holding a free one day seminar to explain and discuss its findings on July 7.
The Energy Performance of Building Directive made regular inspections of air-conditioning systems mandatory in Europe but changes to it will encourage flexibility in the timing and the extent of inspections in the future.
Speakers from across Europe and the UK will discuss the project's emerging conclusions, recommendations for effective inspection procedures, how to access the database of field trials and case studies, the situations in which energy consumption records and specialised computer programmes are (and are not) useful and the inspectors' view.
The workshop will be held at BRE in Watford from 9.30am- 4pm.
