GEA appoints new head of equipment sales

Barry Dumble has been made head of equipment sales for GEA in the UK.

Reporting directly to country managing director Ilija Aprcovic, Mr Dumble initially joined GEA in 2004.

Prior to the OneGEA restructure, which took place in 2015, he was regional manager, Western Europe for GEA Westfalia Separator, with operational responsibility for the business in Western Europe and country responsibility for France, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Nordics, and the Netherlands.

Mr Dumble also held positions as managing director of GEA Mechanical Equipment UK and director of GEA Group Holdings UK.

After OneGEA, he took on the role of head of product group management, separation, in Oelde, Germany.

His considerable breadth of expertise is built on over 30 years of experience in process engineering for various industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, oil recovery and processing, renewable resources, and oil and gas.

Mr Dumble commented: “I’m looking forward to working with both old and new colleagues in the UK, to leverage the sales synergies from our products across a wide range of customers and applications. It will also be great to work even more closely with our colleagues in the GEA Solutions businesses.”
