DEAN & Wood's parent company G & L Beijer AB has bought the refrigeration wholesale company, RK Slovakia.
G & L Beijer's business area Beijer Ref is made up of a group of European refrigeration wholesalers and manufacturers and is the largest supplier in Scandinavia and Europe of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Beijer Ref's acquisition of RK Slovakia allows Beijer Ref to break into a new market in Europe.
Refrigeration and ac wholesaler RK Slovakia has seven branches in Slovakia, nine employees and reports sales of just under £860,000 (SEK 10M).
RK Slovakia will work closely with Beijer Ref's subsidiary, Equinoxe, in Hungary.
Beijer Ref will contribute resources and its complete product range to its new acquisition.
Beijer Ref has operations in 15 European countries and has 770 employees. Its annual turnover is £161m (202m EUR).
