Foster Refrigerator buys Gamko Holdings

KING'S LYNN-based firm Foster Refrigerator, the commercial refrigeration manufacturer, has bought its Dutch-based rival refrigeration company Gamko Holdings BV.
Gamko, a leading brand within the European drinks cooling market, specialises in the manufacture of refrigerated bar cooling and back bar equipment. It also offers catering equipment and is based in Etten-Leur, Holland, with sales operations in Holland, the UK and France. The firm employs 260 people.

Foster Refrigerator's managing director Paul Veried said 'Gamko is a great brand and a great company which is highly respected within the drinks cooling business. 'Their product range complements Foster's and we see nothing but significant opportunities for the two businesses to develop together over the next few years.'

Foster Refrigerator said there are no plans to merge the two businesses and they would continue to operate separately.
