FOCS60: now available the 60Hz range with 380V and 230V voltages

Following the worldwide success of FOCS60 air cooled chillers with screw compressors, Climaveneta is broadening its offer, providing customers of 60Hz markets with a more complete cooling package for both comfort and process cooling applications. The new extended series, initially conceived with an electrical supply of 460V/3/60Hz and in 53 sizes, now includes two new voltages: 380V/3/60Hz and 230V/3/60Hz.

Climaveneta further expands its product portfolio of FOCS60 60Hz chillers including two new voltage versions, 380V and 230V.

New 380V and 230V units have the same distinguishing features of the previous range: exclusive plate or shell and tube evaporators, great application flexibility and high efficiency EER values that are completely in line with those of the 460V products (3.15 for the CA version). The evaporators, in particular, have been accurately selected to ensure energy consumption reduction ranging from 40% to 60% if combined with the optional VPF system for the variable flow operation.

All units can be provided with partial heat recovery, allowing hot water up to 60°C (140°F) to be produced from the recovery exchanger. This smart energy management is particularly useful in those environments characterised by very high temperatures all year long, because it offers an alternative to the traditional auxiliary boiler, producing hot water while the chiller is working. Climaveneta's vast experience with these solutions assures an optimal heat recovery management with minimum fluctuations on the exiting water temperature, on both cold and hot circuits.

FOCS60 also ensures outstanding performance with the most extreme weather conditions where the units can easily be configured with the adoption of an HT kit. This special device allows the unit to achieve the required cooling capacity even when environmental temperatures are very high, ensuring a 100% safe operation up to 46°C when the unit is working at full load.

As for the 460V products, the 380V and 230V units are available in two different efficiency versions: FOCS60/K (key efficiency product) with power capacities ranging from 148 to 1745kW (42-496 tonsR) and a FOCS60-CA high efficiency version from 313 to 1521kW (89-433 tonsR), specially conceived for those applications where efficiency requirements are particularly binding.

The production of the new range will go alongside that of the existing range at Climaveneta’s manufacturing facilities in Bassano del Grappa and Pieve d’Alpago in Italy, ensuring the same quality standards expected from the company’s machines.
