THE engineering and product management director at Fläkt Woods has been appointed president of FETA, the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations.Wendon is also president of HEVAC, the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association, which is an incorporated association of FETA.Wenden has spent his entire 30 year career in the industry, having initially served his engineering apprenticeship with Woods of Colchester.Paul Wenden is the latest Fläkt Woods man to be involved with organisation. Woods was a founding company of the Fan Manufacturers Association as early as 1940. The former MD of Woods, David Priest, held the role of president of HEVAC from 1988 to 1990.Cedric Sloan, FETA director general said: “FETA’s role is increasingly vital, demanding leadership with vision, energy and diplomacy. During years of interaction with our industry supply chain and government, Paul Wenden has shown that he has these qualities in abundance.” Sloan added Wendon "possesses a determination to increase FETA's visibility and membership, which will benefit our members both new and old".
