Fita-Seal franchisees sought for door seal woes
[firstParagraph]
UK franchisor the Filta group is seeking franchise owners for Fita-Seal, its new refrigeration door seal replacement service launching next month.
Filta group is looking for 50 Fita-Seal franchisees for mainland UK and is offering training courses for individuals keen to become franchisees for the new Fita-Seal business.
Fita-Seal is the new service, launching in February for the commercial market, that promises to identify any refrigeration door seal required, make it and install it within 30 minutes.
Cold room, fridge and freezer door seals are traditionally costly and take long to replace, requiring an engineer to be called out for inspection and measurement, the part to be ordered and an engineer to come out again to fit the new seal.
Fita-Seal staff can cut down the cost and time taken by measuring the seal that needs replacing and choosing the correct item from stock in its vehicles. The new seals can also be made in its vehicles in 15 minutes, thanks to the group's patented seal-making machine which means the company's vehicles become mobile workshops. Staff can then fit the new seals on site in 10 minutes.
The Filta Group was founded in the UK in 1996 and since then has established a number of different franchise businesses across the world.
The company already has secured Fita-Seal contracts with four national firms including a pub chain.
'We first began talking to end user customers and then realised we needed to talk to the customers' engineering support team. We've had a lot of interest and we've not even launched the business yet', said J. Urosevic. He added: 'One customer was going to get rid of all his equipment because the door seals he had were no longer manufactured. We were able to fix that'.
