FETA lunch postponed

The Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) has taken the decision to postpone its Annual Luncheon, which was due to take place at The Brewery, London, on Thursday 10 December, having been rearranged from its usual April date.

Even though it is still some two months away, given the latest announcements by the Government, it is highly unlikely that large gatherings in such a setting will be permitted even by then. Rather than try to rearrange another interim date FETA has instead opted to utilise the already pre-planned 2021 date of 15 April.

Russell Beattie, FETA Chief Executive, said: “When we made the original plan to postpone we were extremely encouraged by the support of members and the vast majority of bookings and sponsorships were rolled forward to the new date. We would like to reassure members that we will similarly seek to honour existing bookings as we move to a 2021 date but of course we will offer refunds for those unable to make the new option.

“Clearly these are difficult times for all but especially for the hospitality industry and we have appreciated the support shown from The Brewery during our negotiations with them. Likewise, our guest speaker (Kevin Keegan) has been most supportive in showing his willingness to adapt to our need to make programme changes. We look forward to what will hopefully be a very enjoyable and successful Luncheon in 2021.”
