FEM brings Gram Professional back to the UK

Foodservice equipment distributor FEM is set to bring the historic Danish refrigeration brand Gram back to the UK, following the manufacturer’s relaunch under the name Gram Professional. The move marks 125 years since the brand’s founding and follows a change of ownership in 2023, when a group of former Gram directors led by Ole Brandorf-Lund acquired the factory to preserve its operations and workforce.

The updated Gram Professional portfolio includes commercial refrigeration cabinets and counters, along with specialist equipment such as blast chillers and bakery models. All products continue to be engineered in Denmark, with a focus on efficiency, food safety and long-term durability.

The range will sit under the new ‘G+’ umbrella brand. According to the company, the ‘G’ references Gram’s origins within the Danish Gram Group, while the ‘+’ denotes the manufacturer’s current development direction.

Brandorf-Lund, now managing director of Gram Professional, said the UK remains a significant market for the business. “Partnering with FEM enables us to reintroduce the brand with a strong professional focus, backed by technical expertise and dedicated customer support,” he said. “It is the people, the mindset and the shared values that make the difference. Together, we are ensuring the Gram legacy continues.”

FEM will stock the full Gram Professional range, beginning with the G+ Compact series, and will offer a five-year warranty and spare parts support across the line.

Mike Inwood, sales director at FEM, said the partnership reconnects the UK market with a long-established refrigeration name. “The Gram brand has a long-standing reputation in the UK for quality, reliability and energy efficiency,” he said. “We look forward to working with the original Danish factory and re-engaging with existing and new customers.”
