In 2014 our industry is once again facing the challenge of new developments, such as the end of reclaimed HCFCs and new F-gas regulations. Climalife, part of the Dehon Group which celebrated its 140th anniversary at Chillventa, has launched a smartphone app to help air conditioning professionals to choose the best solutions.

The app, names F-Gas Solutions, provides a useful calculator that will tell you the GWP of the refrigerant used in an installation, as defined by the F-Gas Regulation. By entering the refrigerant charge in kg into the app, it will also indicate the CO2 equivalent tonnes for that refrigerant and charge. The refrigerants covered by the app include all commonly used fluids with an ASHRAE number, and new products and blends will be added as they are released on to the market.

Information on the refrigerants, along with solutions recommended by Climalife are also available on the app.
