Eykel joins LJJ board

Building services specialist, LJJ, has promoted Philip Eykel to its main board as the company’s new operations director for the southern region.

Building services specialist, LJJ, has promoted Philip Eykel to its main board as the company’s new operations director for the southern region.

The move follows significant growth at LJJ, which has seen the company’s turnover increase to £40 million in 2014, with £39 million in new contracts already secured for 2015. The company’s success has prompted a decision to open a third regional office in the Midlands and the move of former southern region operations director, John Daly, to a pan regional role within LJJ has led to Mr Eykel board level promotion's 

An  experienced mechanical engineer with a 35-year track record in the building services sector, Philip joined LJJ as contracts director in 2008 and has worked out of the company’s High Wycombe office ever since.  His career has included building services design and project management roles, before progressing to contracts and operations management posts.

As operations director for LJJ’s southern region, Mr Eykel will be responsible for all aspects of company’s business, including contracts and personnel management.  He also has a business development remit with responsibility for nurturing new client relationships and winning repeat business from existing clients, which has always been central to LJJ’s business model.

Mr Eykel commented: “My new role will be to ensure that we continue to deliver quality projects on time across the southern region and to manage growth.

“We are now in a growing market and our aim is to take advantage of that potential without compromising on quality to chase revenue. As a business we have always been selective about the work we do, which has enabled us to build a portfolio of prestigious and quality projects.  Our clients trust us to deliver first class results on every scheme and we will continue to set that as our benchmark for both existing and new clients.”
