As a major contributor the European technology arena, the pump sector remains steadfast in its pursuit of global competitiveness, whilst being mindful of the many societal and environmental challenges it continues to face. Key among these is its ongoing commitment to the preparation and introduction of energy efficiency and circular economy regulations. However, the opportunities and challenges presented by digitalisation, including regulatory debates on data sharing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, also require industry-wide consideration. Amidst fierce international competition, where both the public and private sectors are working increasingly closer to determine and deploy strategies that promote national value chains, these fast-moving developments require an overarching Europe-wide positioning.
In support of the current Europe-wide legislative agenda, as well as numerous broader topic areas of significant importance to the international pump sector, the BPMA, on behalf of Europump, looks forward to presenting a comprehensive business agenda of real value to pump manufacturers. Sponsored by WEG - a world leader in motor, drive, and asset management systems technology – there will be an equally engaging social programme, that includes a visit to Windsor Castle, a river boat trip along the Thames, and two sumptuous gala dinners.
Commenting on the event, BPMA CEO, Wayne Rose, said: “It has been 10 years since the BPMA last had the honour of hosting Europump's Annual Meeting, when it was held at the famous St Andrew's in Scotland. That location was incredibly well received by all those in attendance and allowed for a fantastic social programme to accompany the business meetings. A decade on, and we are again delighted to be hosting the Annual Meeting at another world-famous location. Windsor provides a breathtaking backdrop to this important gathering for the European pump industry, and the impressive Beaumont Estate offers an unrivalled environment for both business and social interaction. On behalf of the BPMA, and all its Members, I look forward to welcoming our international pump colleagues to the event in May 2024.”
As with previous Annual Meetings, there will be sessions dedicated to the activities of the various Europump working groups – Technical, Standards, Marketing and SME. However, a number of invited speakers will also share their thoughts and expertise on a range of topical issues including Digitisation and AI, Sustainability, the post Brexit political landscape and the world pump market.
The event is open to all members of Europump, as well as those of its respective National Associations, and with an extensive programme of talks, presentations, and social gatherings, it will provide an unrivalled opportunity for senior executives from across the European pump sector to come together and develop their thinking and future goals.
