On June 23 and 24, 2016, internationally renowned experts will join the eurammon symposium in Schaffhausen, Switzerland to discuss the future of the heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry.
This year the focus is on climate friendly alternatives for refrigeration and air conditioning in supermarkets, retail stores and across the whole supply chain.
Natural refrigerants have long been used for refrigeration and cooling in the food and retail industry, for example, for deep freezing food products or for air conditioning in buildings. According to a study by the German environmental organization Deutsche Umwelthilfe, most major retailers in Germany consider the use of natural refrigerants to be very important. As a result, in 2013, especially major discounters used more natural than climate-damaging refrigerants already.
At this year’s eurammon symposium, experts from the HVAC&R industry will give an overview of the current status of the industry and present innovative case studies. Well known speakers including Carsten Hoch (TÜV SÜD AG), Kenneth B. Madsen (Danfoss GmbH) and Rui Silva (SISTAVAC) will shine a light on the consequences of European regulations on the use of natural refrigerants, give an overview of the newest technological developments and report from operators’ perspective. Current projects involving ammonia, propane and CO2 will further illustrate how refrigerants can be used even under extreme conditions.
During a workshop on the second day of the event, participants will have the opportunity to actively engage themselves with the present challenges of the industry and cooperatively work towards concepts and solutions.
