For refrigeration professionals in retail refrigeration, this merger signals a significant expansion of service capabilities, product range, and geographic coverage. Epta and Hauser’s combined footprint now spans key European markets including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, France, and notably, the UK.
The integration is expected to enhance support for UK-based contractors and engineers through a broader range of commercial refrigeration systems, increased investment in sustainable and digital development, expanded service and maintenance networks across Europe and greater stability and long-term growth prospects for Hauser’s UK operations.
Epta CEO Marco Nocivelli said: “The union of the Epta and Hauser families marks the beginning of a new chapter in European industrial excellence… In a scenario shaped by ecological and digital transitions, creating meaningful partnerships and networks is essential to generate a sustainable future.”
Hauser CEO Thomas Loibl added: “This step ensures the company’s sustainable development, provides stability in an economically volatile environment, and opens up new opportunities for Hauser.”
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2025, pending approval from European antitrust authorities. Hauser will be fully consolidated into Epta’s financials, with representation on Epta’s Board of Directors to ensure strategic continuity.
