Energy efficiency is no longer the realm of the rich and powerful

Hubbard Products, the manufacturer of Energy Technology Product Listed (ETPL) refrigeration condensing units says that it offers the broadest range of high-efficiency equipment of any maker to suit a wide range of budgets.
Energy efficiency is no longer the realm of the rich and powerful
The Hubbard ETPL range of products includes 13 Premium Cellar Cooling units and 34 Zenith Air Cooled Condensing Units, six of which include digital compressors that deliver seamless performance for the ultimate in energy efficiency, creating on-demand cooling that is ideal for retail environments or areas of high footfall with irregular cooling demand. Moreover, available within the ETPL Zenith range are 17 twin compressor models, six of which have a digital option.

Designed to offer end users, commercial refrigeration engineers and specifiers a unit that is reliable and ideally suited to their refrigeration needs, the Hubbard ETPL range starts with cellar cooling units designed to maintain, by a refrigeration system, an indoor environment at a condition suitable for the storage of chilled beverages below 12°C. The popular Hubbard ECA qualifying Premium range offers all year round temperature control, even on the coldest days.

The Hubbard ETPL range then extends to include air-cooled condensing units for use in a variety of commercial and light industrial cooling applications, including cold rooms, refrigerated display cabinets, back-bar equipment and temperature-controlled food preparation areas.

For many sites, particularly supermarkets, convenience retailers and other businesses generating a lot of heat, refrigeration can be the highest energy cost. Fortunately, it is also one of the areas where it is easiest to make substantial savings.

Capital allowances enable businesses to write off the capital cost of purchasing and installing new Hubbard ETPL cooling machinery, against their taxable profits. The government's Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme enables businesses to claim a 100 per cent first year capital allowance on investments in certain energy-saving equipment, against the taxable profits of the period of investment.

For every £1000 spent on new cooling equipment and its installation, traditionally a business can claim the standard capital allowance of 18 per cent and then pay 23 per cent corporation tax with tax relief of £41.40 in the first year. Further tax relief could be claimed in subsequent years.

However, for every £1000 a business invests in installing a Hubbard higher efficiency cooler, listed on the Energy Technology List, then it could claim a one-off, 100 percent Enhanced Capital Allowance, of £230.

Additional benefits of purchasing Hubbard ECA qualifying energy-efficient technology can include: improved cash flow, lower energy bills, reduction in Climate-Change Levy or CRC payment.

With 47 cooling units now qualifying for Enhanced Capital Allowances and named on the Energy Technology Product List since its inception in 2005, Hubbard is proud to be the original supplier of low running cost cooling equipment.

Energy efficiency is now the realm of the intelligent and the cost conscious.
