SALFORD's sustainable energy firm ENER-G has acquired 80% of Nottiingham-based renewable cooling firm Ground Source Solutions.
Ground Source Solutions designs, supplies and installs ground coupled heat pump systems, that harness solar energy from the earth, to provide renewable energy for buildings' cooling and heating requirements.
Established 10 years ago, ENER-G plc offers energy solutions, in cogeneration, renewable energy, energy management and energy from waste. ENER-G employs 600 people in the UK and around the globe.
This is the third acquisition by
ENER-G in the last six months.
ENER-G managing director Derek Duffill said: 'The acquisition is part of ENER-G's ambitious growth programme, which has seen the group's turnover rise almost four-fold over the past six years. Our latest acquisition will deliver strong operational synergies and add another piece to the comprehensive range of sustainable technologies we offer'.
