Emerson Climate Technologies has announced that Rajan Rajendran, vice president, engineering services and sustainability, has been selected to lead a session that will help the supermarket and food service industries navigate new regulations and select appropriate choices among 'greener' alternatives at the Food Marketing Institute’s (FMI) Energy & Store Development Conference.
Dr Rajendran's presentation will highlight new technologies, regulations and the latest trends and environmental updates as they affect the food retail industry. 'Increasing focus on energy-efficient equipment, ongoing government regulation and the movement toward environmentally friendly systems are creating changes to our industry at an unprecedented pace. It is important that Emerson does its part in leading the discussion,' he said.
Dr. Rajendran is responsible for the technical support to original equipment manufacturers and end users for Emerson's refrigeration business. He has extensive experience working with alternate refrigerants as they pertain to air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration systems in the United States, Europe and Asia. Dr. Rajendran also serves on the Low GWP Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program Task Force of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute and on the Working Groups for A2L Refrigerants at Underwriters Laboratories.
The Energy & Store Development Conference is taking place 8-10 September in Baltimore.
