Embraco is launching a new family of compressors with higher energy efficiency, larger cooling capacity and reduced acoustic impact for commercial refrigeration equipment.
An upgrade to the existing NEK range, the new family dubbed NEU reduces energy consumption by up to 16% at an expanded cooling capacity of up to 10%, both depending on the type of refrigerant used. As the external configuration remains unchanged, the new models can replace all products of the NB/NE series in all applications without any technical amendments.
Embraco’s R&D centre in Spisska, Slovakia, has further advanced the existing NEK platform through significant re-engineering of main compressor components such as the valve system, suction muffler and compressor shell. A new motor lamination and an improved manifold were added as well, while maintaining NEK’s crucial properties such as best-in-class noise and pulsation levels, and guaranteed restarting after defrosting and on-off procedures.
The innovative NEU compressors are applicable in all products suited for NE/NEK (L and MBP). They have the same displacement parameters as the NEK platform of up to 16.8 cm3, and are available with the same approvals as the NEK models (VDE, IMQ, CQC and UL).
