Ellis Training passes its 1,000th F-gas student

WITH the deadline for F-gas qualifications now just seven months away, Hertfordshire-based Ellis Training Works (ETW) has just seen its 1000th candidate successfully pass the City & Guilds 2079 F Gas qualification.
Ellis Training passes its 1,000th F-gas student
Last Friday (November 19) Bob Moody, of Mastercool based in Romford, Essex, learned that not only had he passed but that he was Ellis Training's 1000th successful student.

'I'm obviously thrilled to be qualified,' said Bob. 'The training I received from ETW really was outstanding and I would urge anybody who has not yet done so to sign up quickly.'

John Ellis of Ellis Training Works reports that the looming deadline has meant there has been a surge in candidates wishing to train but some engineers are still unaware of their obligations under the legislation.

'The F-Gas qualification has been introduced in a bid to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and all engineers carrying out work on units containing HFC refrigerants must be qualified,' he says. 'Anyone who does not have this qualification by next July will be working illegally so it is incredibly important.'

Since its inception, Ellis Training Works has been at the forefront of providing the necessary F-gas training and qualifications and was the first company to pass engineers under C&G 2079 at the end of 2008.

'Obviously I'm thrilled that we've been able to help so many engineers qualify and I think our incredible pass rate of 97 per cent is a great testimony to the hard work of everyone at Ellis Training Works,' he added.
