Eight people treated after fridge incident at supermarket

EIGHT people are said to have been treated by paramedics and four sent to hospital after an incident at a Tesco Extra supermarket in Walkden Greater Manchester on Sunday (12/12/10).
Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue service says that three appliances attended the store after a fire in a refrigeration unit but news sources have described the incident as an explosion.

The Bolton Evening News said witnesses described hearing a loud bang and seeing the shop fill with white smoke.
