DuPont gives Honeywell R-422D rights

DUPONT Refrigerants has granted global rights to Honeywell to market R-422D refrigerant, a R22 replacement.
The new agreement is in anticipation of the expected surge in market demand, and field support, for R-422D refrigerant, following the ban of virgin HCFC R22 on January 1, 2010.

R-422D is currently sold by DuPont under the trademark ISCEON MO29.

By broadening the distribution network for this retrofit solution, DuPont says it will be able to commit greater resources to helping customers meet the R-22 phase-out deadline and lead the transition away from ozone-depleting substances.
