DuPont adjusts Freon prices

DUPONT Fluorochemical Refrigerants has announced a 25% price rise for DuPont Freon 22 HCFC refrigerant in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Freon 22 is used for residential and commercial air conditioning and for medium and low-temperature commercial refrigeration applications.

The price rise is effective with shipments on or after March 1, 2008.

The global supplier of refrigerants said the price rise is driven by rising raw material, energy and transportation costs.
