Steve Glover, founder of the former Daikin distributor's agent the Air Conditioning Agency, is back in control of the business.
For the last three years, Alan Davey has been running the agency. Agency founder Steve Glover left Daikin in July 2009 to take leadership of the agency again.
The agency was set up by Glover in 1993 as an independent distributing agency which went on to represent 13 different brands for manufacturers including Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Sanyo, LG and Daikin.
Daikin represented 67% of the agency's entire fixed ac sales and the agency contributed to around £1m of Daikin's sales a year. By October 2006 Daikin had bought Cooling Services, and as a consequence Daikin went on to acquire the goodwill of the agency which included its staff and its customer base.
MD Steve Glover now plans to relocate the business to Poole. Steve Glover said: 'With so many self-employed salesmen selling wholesale ac, who may have lost jobs, I'd like to see if we can get together and trade under the banner of the Air Conditioning Agency. The brands in the firm's portfolio are Fujitsu, LG, Sanyo and Samsung. More brands will be added to the portfolio and I hope to have a full range of products again'.
Glover is also promoting the Easifit Climatrol 12 “All-in-One” heat pump system. For details contact
