Double appointment for Fujitsu

Fujitsu Air Conditioning UK has made two new appointments to maintain growth and build on its market share, with John Thompson as area business development manager and Gary Stanley as distribution account manager for the North.

Reporting to Stuart Eagleton, Fujitsu national account manager, Mr Thompson will be responsible for driving sales both in VRF and split systems, as well as raising awareness of the company with building services engineers throughout Scotland. He joins Fujitsu with a wealth of industry knowledge, having worked in the air conditioning sector for more than 20 years.

Mr Stanley will report to national distribution sales manager Nick Wilks, building and maintaining customer relationships, promoting Fujitsu products and services, developing new business, and supporting distributors and staff. Based from home in a remote role, Mr Stanley will oversee the North of England and some parts of Scotland. Prior to joining Fujitsu, he was in the British Army for 32 years.

Mr Thompson said: “Fujitsu is a great company to work for and I am delighted to have joined at such an exciting stage in its development. The air conditioning sector is very strong at the moment, especially with so many systems being fitted in new buildings instead of gas central heating. I am looking forward to strengthening the company’s position in Scotland and entering into dialogue with consultants and major contractors.”

Mr Stanley added: “I am thrilled to be joining Fujitsu, especially as it’s a great time for the company and with plenty of opportunities in the North of England and Scotland. Last year saw Fujitsu introduce many new products, a trend set to continue throughout 2018. It’s an exciting opportunity to be part of such a renowned, global brand. I can’t wait to introduce myself to all the distributors and sales teams in my area, so I can begin building relationships and offering support any way I can.”
