DANISH acr coil maker Flex Coil A/S, has been sold to cooling tower manufacturer Evapco Europe, a subsidiary of Evapco Inc.
Located in Aabybro (near Aalborg), Denmark, Flex Coil makes dry coolers, condensers and finned coils for industrial acr markets.

Evapco Europe said the combination of its company with Flex Coil industrial and refrigeration business created a solid platform for European and global expansion.

Jan Rombouts, president of Evapco Europe said 'The technology and quality of Flex Coil is so advanced that it fits like a glove into the Evapco organization. The combination creates more product solutions to continue the direction taken by Evapco seven years ago with the introductions of hybrid wet/dry products. This synergy will elevate the company to the next plateau.'

Evapco Europe plans to immediately expand the Denmark manufacturing facility and offices. The purchase means Evapco Europe now has four manufacturing facilities -two facilities in Italy, one in Denmark and one in Belgium where Evapco's European HQ is based.

The current Flex Coil management will continue managing Flex Coil, but Evapco said it will benefit from the 'technical and financial strength of Evapco'.

Evapco Inc. manufactures products for the evaporative cooling and industrial refrigeration markets and its global headquarters are based in Maryland in the US.

Finn Thyge, CEO of Flex Coil said 'We complement each other in markets and products and see this as a perfect fit'.
