DANFOSS' variable speed compressor for residential use, the Performer VSD, has been selected as the AHR Expo Product of the Year award.
The 2010 AHR Expo Innovation Awards took place at the AHR Expo in Florida (January 25-27). Danfoss won the Innovation Award in the 'Green Building' category and was selected from among the nine winners to earn the top honor - the AHR Expo Product of the Year Award for 2010.
Thirty-two other products received 'Honorable Mentions', at the awards ceremony.
'We are proud to receive this award because it is welcome proof of the continuing Danfoss commitment to energy efficiency achieved through engineering innovation', said Stephen Gugliotta, director of sales for Danfoss Air Conditioning.
The Innovation Awards are jointly sponsored by ASHRAE; the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI); and International Exposition Company (IEC). Only one product per company may be submitted in each category and winning products from previous years cannot be re-entered.
