The award was presented during a ceremony that took place at The Tower Hotel in London, where many of the biggest names in air conditioning and refrigeration gathered to celebrate the achievements of the sector over the past twelve months.
After a rigorous decision-making process, which saw a panel of experts carefully review every entry, the Refrigeration Ancillary Product of the Year Award went to Danfoss Drives’ Enhanced VLT Refrigeration Drive FC103.
The judges were impressed with the drive’s use of refrigeration-specific language and terminology for configuration, which eliminates many of the perceived difficulties of using variable speed drives in refrigeration applications, and makes the FC103 particularly easy to install, set-up and maintain.
Danfoss Drives UK and IE country manager, Alan Baird, said: “We were delighted the judges bestowed such an important accolade on our FC103 drive, which completely supports our view that it’s such a great product. A lot of work has gone into developing this drive so it really matches the needs of the refrigeration sector. The feedback we have had from the end users has been incredibly positive and the energy savings that can be achieved with the FC103 are very impressive. Add to that the unparalleled support we provide for all our drives at every stage in their life cycle, and I hope you’ll agree the judges made a very good choice.”
