Daikin’s VRV5 air-conditioning system: delivering exceptional performance sustainably

The Government’s aim to achieve Net Zero status by 2050 has made sustainability the number one priority for construction professionals. With strict targets to meet, implementing technology that offers exceptional environmental performance is now a must for all projects. For light-commercial and residential air-conditioning technology, Daikin’s VRV 5 system is breaking new ground regarding its sustainable qualities.

At the core of the climate solutions specialist’s new VRV 5 system is a focus on sustainable yet effective performance. The VRV 5 system has been designed specifically to operate using R-32 refrigerant, which has low environmental impact and is able to carry heat far more efficiently. In fact, tests found that the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the R-32 refrigerant is 71% lower on a system level than that of alternative sources. Furthermore, as a single component refrigerant, R-32 is straightforward to both reuse and recycle.

Additionally, the VRV 5 system guarantees real-life seasonal-efficiency and thanks to its outstanding quality, will deliver exceptional sustainability throughout its entire lifecycle. The combination of Daikin’s VRV 5 system’s ‘green’ qualities have earned it third-party recognition through a Notified Body (SGS CECEC).

Crucially, the environmental benefits of the VRV 5 system do not come at the expense of its performance properties. Thanks to the inclusion of Daikin’s Shîrudo Technology within the system, versatility is assured straight out of the box. Encompassing a complete package of advanced developments, all standard, integrated and configured, the VRV 5 system can accommodate rooms as small as 10m², without the need for additional design considerations.

Daikin’s VRV 5 system is leading the way for innovative light-commercial and residential air-conditioning technology. By specifying the VRV 5 system, air conditioning professionals can take a significant step towards improving the environmental performance of the projects they are installed in. Offering best-in-class design versatility, as well as many other performance properties, the VRV 5 system is the stand-out solution available on the market.
