Daikin UK announces new dealers, but who are they?
[firstParagraph]
DAIKIN UK has confirmed rumours that it has signed a series of new 'dealerships'. In a short statement made late this afternoon, Daikin UK announced that it had increased the routes to market for its cooling, ventilating and refrigeration products but failed to mention the companies concerned.
Rumours have been rife for the past few weeks that the company was to appoint as many as five or six new dealers. Gallant Air Conditioning, the Nottingham-based Samsung distributor run by Ted Berry is known to be one. Hampshire-based Freedom Air Conditioning, the distributor of Hitachi, Samsung and LG, is another. ACR News has been told of at least two others - one an established Sanyo distributor, the other a Fujitsu and Samsung specialist.
Daikin UK has so far not confirmed who any of the new dealers are but the statement suggests that none of them will be selling the company's Altherma heat pump products.
The Daikin UK statement says that it is widening its national sales operations 'with a network of major dealers that will complement its direct sales and wholesaler sales routes to market.'
'The network of dealers will provide customers with a greater choice of purchasing points around the country for the Daikin UK product range,' it adds.
Andrew McCubbin, Daikin UK marketing manager, is quoted as saying: 'We have selected these companies with which to work in partnership, because they have excellent track records and relationships within the industry, ensuring they share the high standards for which Daikin is known.'
