Daikin sales hit £7.7bn

JAPANESE air conditioning manufacturer Daikin achieved net sales of £7.7bn in the last financial year. Operating income and net income were £330m and £145m, respectively.
These figures are contained in Daikin's financial report for the year ending March 31.

The company is continuing to invest in developing large-scale commercial equipment at its Daikin McQuay Applied Development Centre and the market launch of inverter air conditioners developed in cooperation with Chinese company Gree.

Further investments are also planned into the Altherma heat-pump range, as well as investing in its operations at its new factory in India and research into the Brazilian market.
