Daikin in chiller joint venture

Daikin is reported to have entered into a centrifugal chiller development agreement with Japanese engineering firm Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI).
Daikin is to provide the air conditioning expertise, while IHI will design and manufacture the impellers.

According to JARN, the centrifugal chillers Daikin plans to develop with IHI are expected to have a COP of 6.4.
